Seresin Estate originally imported olive trees from a specialist olive nursery in Tuscany owned by the renowned Attilio Sonnoli. We chose a selection of the classic varieties: Frantoio, Pendolino, Leccino, Minerva & Maurino that make Tuscan extra virgin olive oil amongst the most interesting in the world.
These trees are planted over two Seresin vineyards Raupo and Noa which are mostly alluvial in origin with free-draining basalt pebbles.
The oil offers intense aromas with crisp ripe apple flavours. The excellent autumn ripening conditions in Marlborough this vintage helped create beautifully complex flavours from fruity through to grassy and herbal on the palate, with an intriguing peppery finish.
As in previous vintages, we produced a small amount of citrus varieties. The citrus zest is peeled and cold pressed with the olives to create harmonious flavours. Available from our cellar door in Marlborough.
