Sun & Moon Pinot Noir 2017

 

Certified organic, the refined 2017 vintage (5*) was estate-grown and hand-picked in the Raupo Creek Vineyard, in the Omaka Valley. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, it was matured for 18 months in French oak barriques, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Unfolding very gracefully, it has full, bright, youthful colour. Fragrant and full-bodied, it is concentrated and savoury, with searching, cherryish, spicy, nutty flavours, fresh acidity, finely balanced tannins, and very impressive richness, complexity and harmony. Best drinking 2024+.
