Sun & Moon Pinot Noir 2016

 

Certified organic, the memorable 2016 vintage (5*) was estate-grown and hand-harvested in the Raupo Creek Vineyard, in the Omaka Valley, fermented with indigenous yeasts, matured for 18 months in French oak barriques, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. A wine with a strong sense of 'soul', it has deep, bright, youthful colour. Full-bodied, it is very savoury, with dense cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours and a powerful, harmonious, lingering finish. A wine to ponder over, it's well worth cellaring to 2024+.
