Raupo Creek Pinot Noir 2015

 

The powerful 2015 vintage (5*) is a single-vineyard red, estate-grown in the Omaka Valley. Hand-picked, it was matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (12 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Fairly mature in colour, it is mouthfilling and sweet-fruited, with highly concentrated, spicy, nutty, slightly raisiny flavours, complex and savoury, and a moderately firm finish. Drinking well now, it should be at its best 2023+. Certified organic.
